We’re excited to announce that registration is now open for our 2025–2026 Kinnaly Lao Music & Dance Classes! Join us for another joyful season of learning, culture, and community and be part of a program that helps our youth grow with pride in their Lao heritage.

Kinnaly is a youth music and dance group dedicated to preserving and celebrating Lao culture through traditional performing arts. Our classes give young people a space to connect with their roots, express themselves through creativity, and build confidence, discipline, and lifelong friendships.

Learning Lao traditional music and dance helps our youth stay connected to their roots and take pride in their heritage. These art forms teach not only rhythm and movement, but also the stories, values, and history that shape Lao American identity. By learning and performing together, our young people carry forward centuries of tradition while growing in confidence, creativity, and community spirit.

Kinnaly: Preserving Lao Culture Through Music & Dance

Kinnaly is a traditional Lao music and dance program based in Seattle, Washington and dedicated to educating and inspiring youth ages 4-18. Since 2002, we’ve been committed to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Laos—an art form that has been at risk of fading since the Vietnam War era.

Beyond the classroom, Kinnaly offers students immersive, hands-on experiences that bring Lao traditions to life. From performances to cultural exchanges, our program provides opportunities that foster pride, connection, and a deeper understanding of Lao music and dance. These experiences make Kinnaly more than just a class—they make it a community.

Join us in keeping Lao traditions alive for future generations!

Kinnaly is a program of POM Foundation, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit.
